Day 05: Your definition of love, in great detail
I used to think that love was sunshine and butterflies and kittens and warm glowy feelings all the time, that fairy tales had some part in real life, that whatever it is, the girl is always right and the guy will buy her flowers and chocolates and stuffed bunnies, that fights and conflicts will be a distant reality, and when you wake up in the morning, things will always be better.
Love is encouragement and motivation; it is building the other person up.
Love is security and protection; it is making the other person feel safe.
Love is heartbreak and tears; you wouldn't know the good if you didn't feel the bad.
Love is frustration and confusion; you'd keep wondering just why you're continuously doing it to yourself.
Love is raindrops against the window; it distorts your vision and you can't see out.
Love is rose-tinted glasses; it makes you think that things are better than they really are.
Love is knowing when to hold on; it might all just be worth it in the end.
Love is knowing when to let go; it's loving the other person just enough to do so.
