Thanks to those of you who have donated $220 already. Damn. I would've been thrilled to get $5 off the bat, to be honest.
I just read a news article about Palin referring to Obama and Clinton as "Sambo" and "the bitch" respectively in a restaurant in Alaska. Those around her laughed.
You may think, "Well, that's just the GOP VP nominee...what matters is the president." But a president is also reflected by his choice of running mate, and McCain is getting there in years. Suppose he has a heart attack and dies in office. We then have the nightmare of a woman who refers to a black man as "Sambo" in office.
Her clothing purchases totalling $150k may also be in violation of the McCain/Feingold Law. Imagine nominating a president who breaks the very laws he puts forth. Would you trust him with the economy? With education? With women's health issues?
Here's a video of him on YouTube mocking women's health issues. Wanna trust him with your birth control? With your right to wisely choose right and wrong for your own body? Your own reproductive health? He's against feminists too. He's very upset that we're not automatically voting for his ticket because he chose Palin as his VP.
Say what you will about Obama. No, he's not perfect. Yes, he's made a few bloopers on the campaign trail so far. But I think that whatever flaws he may have pale in comparison to the McCain/Palin ticket.
In short...thanks for the donations given thus far. If you've donated already and can't anymore, that's AWESOME. Pat yourself on the back for contributing to the cause. Consider these dollars to be your vote.
