From a Former Colonial Outpost to Her Majesty's Subjects Around the Globe

I mailed the following to this Brittish Web publication/community- www.blueear.com- I was required to 'join' in order to read anythin posted therein:

Blue Ears of the Commonwealth and beyond: Respectfully,

This morning, awake with insomnia by 5:00 AM, I made witness, thanks to the live CBC telecast, what was, in my humble opinion, the most enchanting and sincerely rousing English grand-cultural event of the new millennium; the masterfully dignified funeral procession of our late Queen Mother.

I was mesmerised: Will all the practice and planning pay off and the event go as carefully rehearsed? Will any person of royal character accidentally embarrass himself, and thus Queen, Country and Empire?

Will a guerrilla team of fanatical Muslims attempt an elaborate assault, to take back the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond on behalf of Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iran?

Will potential pranksters/disgruntled-subjects attempt to surrepeticiously wave political and silly banners or make any obscene gestures before the cameras?

But no, there was not even one rainbow colored mohawk- a hair fashion inspired throurgh American Colonial contact, I might add- or dark face in sight- well, discounting any involved Siekh or Gurkha regiments I suppose.

And so, completely inspired by the wonder of such thoroughly successfu pomp and circumstance, I've decided to form a new rock group in the image of the Queen Mother and Blue Oyster Cult, to be named
Frogmarch of the QueenMothers: a creation inspired as much by the music and look of Blue Oyster Cult, as by the splendid life the Queen Mother herself!

Cheers from Fort Detroit,
M.C. Fontayne de la Mothe de Frontenac
