Part VI - WWI (Writing and Women 1)

Hahahaahaaaa! The mark of a good piece of writing is the suspense the reader feels in between pages, lines, and even words.

so I kinda embellished on the last line of my last post.

Let’s get back to the story.

The woman I found was in the fort too. Taking pictures with this guy and this other girl. Two obstacles that could ruin me:
One, the guy
Two, didn’t know if she spoke English.

Only things I could do were ‘hope’ and put on my ‘A’ Game, as I call it. So I throw her a long distance nod. She threw me a “hi” gesture back.

Me, being a halfway social guy, I’m not too uncomfortable approaching women. Especially if I can catch them on a one-on-one situation, my confidence rises. Nobody needs to impress anybody if it’s one-on-one.

Aside from that, I’ve trained myself to understand that if you get played… you get played. Life moves on. Nothing to cry about. As long as everybody keeps it polite, it’s cool. (they usually will, as long as your polite first)

So N E Way, I tell P to “take some pictures (of what I was skipping) for me, and I’ll catch up with you guys later…”

I go up ahead to the part of the fort that the girl and her friends were. Lucky for me, her “friends” weren’t around by the time I got to the area. {1 obstacle out} I observed for a second (not long enough to feel like I was being creepy).
- She was light skinned, semi tanned. And could’ve been Spanish, White, or mixed (black + white). I can’t remember. She had beautiful curly black hair, either in a ponytail or a bun, and I think it was sort of long. Nice shape, pretty face.

It didn’t take me long to realize that she was probably waiting for her friends to reach a visible point outside of the fort so that she could take more pictures from atop, where we were. This is called “opportunity.”

I proceeded to made my way over to her…

To be Continued… in Part VII

Sorry it took me so long to resume this story. The suspense was never meant to last this length.
