NYC
so on wednesday rachel and i went to new york city.
we woke up at 4:30, and while i roamed around smoking out of an apple, she got ready. soon we were careening down the highway toward fairfield, CT, to catch the train into grand central.
the train ride was a strange blur; being exhausted from only a couple tiny hours of sleep i tried to pass out, but i don't know if i did.
arrived in the city and sat in a cafe in midtown 5th avenue area, had some coffee and went to the guggenheim for the kandinsky exhibit. twas nice.
after the guggenheim we looked for barney's deli (86th and amsterdam) but central park detoured us down twenty blocks. so we settled for a falafel truck right outside of MoMA and spent the next few hours there, where we both saw a number of amazing paintings (and quite possibly tim burton, who was there for a book signing), but this was my favorite:
......spend the night in park slope after an amazing dinner at roberta's pizza in brooklyn. woke up early and had a fun ride home. work afterward, and that was slow but fun. saw the sisters jewell and PASSED THE FUCK OUT.
