Pebbles and Bam Bam
So...where should I start? I guess I should start with the reason I entitled this entry Pebbles and Bam Bam. I recently adopted two hermit crabs. I got them from petsmart becuase the ones at pet supermarket (my favorite petstore) were more expensive and less healthy looking. They aren't really used to me yet so they don't come out of their shells for me. They are interesting. Bam Bam's original name was Mr. Crabs (like from spongebob) But I thought that was too plain, plus he is kinda destructive (he can move the log and the hut around!) So I thought Bam Bam fit him better. I didn't tell my mom I was going to get them so she was surprised to find them in my room. She thought I had bought a snake or something so she called me and was like " WHAT IS IN THAT TANK IN YOUR ROOM". LoL Here is a picture of their cage they are hiding though so you can really see them
Pebbles is under the log you can kinda see her legs and Bam Bam is over behind the purple hut thing.
Also while I was at Petsmart I bought a algae eating fish for my aquarium. They guy told me that it was compatible with goldfish and blah blah blah. So I bring him home and I named him Fernando by the way. He was pretty ugly...he looked sorta like a cross between a snake and an eel. Here is a picture from the internet so you can get an idea
I put him in my tank and go to bed right. I wake up the next morning and that fucker is on my carpet dead as a doornail. I'm like, "I know there is not a $2.99 fish on my floor...I must still be sleeping." But alas, it was Fernado and he was dead on my floor. I racked my brain trying to figure out what happened. My tank has a cover on it and the only opening is about an inch in front of the filter. So after I racked my brain I looked on my reciept and it says the name of the fish is "Loach" so I google it and read up on it and it says common behavior: Jumping. So I am like WTF. The petsmart dude sold me a fish that jumps??? And it also says they can live outside the water for several hours. So naturally I run and put Fernando's body in a sick full of water...nothing. I guess Fernando had been laying there a while. I can't figure out how petsmart doesn't have lots of loaches laying on their floor becuase they don't have any type of lid on their aquariums. So yeah I will be taking Fernando's body back to petsmart and getting my money back (14 day garuntee). And I might complain because they did not warn me that I was about to buy an insane suicidal jumping fish. But anywayz RIP Fernando...
I let my mom cut my hair the other day and It is a little shorter than I perfer but I guess its something different. I could use some change I guess. I was really bored today and I took like 2343423 pictures. My original plan was just to try on some outfits to wear for the first couple days of college but then the camera got thrown into the mix. I'm such a .
Speaking of college I have bought my spanish book which was 117 smackaroos. I almost cried. Rachel M. was right. But atleast that included the workbook and cds and I didnt have to buy them separtly. I also sold my TI-83 plus calculator on eBay to get some money toward buying a TI-89 for calculus. I got a pretty good deal on the 89 I got it for $100. They sell for $130-200 dollars in the store. I have to go to HPU tommorrow to get my O-Pak and get my ID made. Then from there I am going to walmart to pick up some stuff for my hermies and some basic college school suppies.
I'm kinda bummed tho. I talk to all my friends from High School and they are moving into dorms and it makes me kinda wish I was moving into one too. I was in target the other day and they had all this really cute dorm room stuff and it made me sad. I want to move into a dorm and decorate it! But I guess if I was living in a dorm I would have to deal with weird people all the time and I would have no privacy and plus I wouldn't be able to bring my pets with me. So I guess there is a good and a bad side to that.
I created a Facebook. It is not a fun as myspace because you cant customize your layout but it is alright. I added some people that will be freshmen with me at HPU on there. Maybe I will find a friend. Lord knows I don't know anybody...I hate that. Its kinda a shock becuase you go to school with the same faces for 13 years and then POOF no more. I just hope things are not awkward I HATE THAT. So maybe facebook will help out a little. Add me if you have one. Click here.
