When the world turns you down where do you go
do you stand up for what you believe in or go with th flow
are your morals just strands of thread you snip off
or steel chains that hold you to what you are and never drop
are your beliefs a flemsy things that you destroy
do you bend around every one else like a toy
do you fall before the worlds weight and die
do you slip before what you believe in and cry
cry to the false hope that everything will be ok
to look ahead that everything will be better some day
cry to the cruel world that you live in and crawl
crawl before the people that hold and stand tall
you look around at the shell that was once you
hide your face and realize that you once knew
knew your purpose and had hopes and dreams
but know youve torn apart everything at the seams
so you have two paths now that you can take
and both will hurt and show your mistake
you can attempt to repair and try to stand tall
but youll have nothing left but yourself and thats all
or you can lie to yourself and get kicked around
and be as fake as you feel everyday and sound
sound the voice that everyone else wants to hear
but it tears your apart and creates your fears
fears that will hant you the rest of you life
untill they cut through who you were like a knife
then you will be nothing more but a quiet voice
and voice that holds a sound but no chioce
no choice but to follow and be lead around
and it will eat you up and it will bring you down
