Well,today was actually not a boring Sunday. Jarrod come over in the morning & i could'nt stay awake. Haha... So he fuckin' chilled for like a couple hours. One of my opinions, that has changed over the past couple of years. Is that I really didn't think you needed a high school diploma, or a G.E.D to get anywhere in life. I was really ignorant, and thought everything would get handed to me for free, and wouldnt ever need a good education to get a good career/job.
My opinion has changed sence I wasted, three years of my life sitting around doing nothing at all, but hanging out with my friends, and doing other things all day long.Things that i thought were more importent at the time. Then getting a real education, so I really messed up the years I could have been spending in high school. Getting a actual high school diploma.
I finally realized that if I wanted to presue a career in the field of Criminal Justice,( because i want to be a lawyer. Mainly a drug lawyer, for drug cases and what not.) I needed to get my act together and get my G.E.D. I have attempted many times to get my G.E.D and, I just was always to lazy to actually go to the classes or, I couldn't wake up in time, or i didn't want to take three buses. Just to get to Portland Adult Ed. It didn't seem worth it to me at the time.
Also, another reason for me changing my mind on my stated above opinion is because, I realized how proud my family and friends would be of me. If I actually went through with this drastict change, and showed them that I'm not lazy, and I'm done making stupid mistakes in my life, and that I do want to get my life together. I guess you can say. I'm ready to grow up now.
I'm glad my opinion has changed over the years, because now I'm smarter then, I was back then when education didn't matter to me, and I actually got up and did something about getting a good education. Now i can be assured , when I get my G.E.D that I'm going to be able to enroll in Southern Maine Community College, hopefully next semester.
