sometimes I rhyme slow sometimes I rhyme quick

Last night I got a horrible case of Sunday evening blues, which I can't quite seem to shake even now that the work day is 2.5 hours from ending (but who's counting?).

It wasn't so much about dreading a return to work as it was saying goodbye to my lovely weekend. On top of that I was offended by the Simpson's and Family Guy, was yelled at by my fellow drivers a few different times on a short quick to Target, and once there was crestfallen by a lack of funds and a waining lack of faith in my fellow men. Then I bought some containers there, and even in my excitement to go home and organize something felt foolish for spending dough on something to try to contain all these other THINGS I BOUGHT. Then I struggled between feeling prudish or close-minded for being so upset about what's on TV these days and worrying what the hell will be left for my kids to watch, ie: Is there anything out there I WOULD approve of?

This post totally darkens the picture of my weekend, but it's not the weekend that was bad, really, just the tail end of it. Then today at lunch I was struck once more with how little I have in common with my coworkers. I don't expect us to be BFF's, but I could care less what's happening on some reality cable show everyone Tivo'd (Don't have dvr, much less cable) or at the other extreme what happened in the latest Harry Potter book. Lastly, no one said anything about my cute new boots. OTOH, why do I care? I know I'm cute in them. Harumph.

Sarah, please tell us how the budgeting is going!!!
It is going just fine. I'm over where I should be with my allowance this pay period and it will be tough buying xmas pressies without using a cc. Also, I'm particularly annoyed with coworkers who are buying cashmere sweaters and boots in various colors while I'm scolding myself for thinking about trying on a plain black sweatshirt at Target. HOWEVER, it will all be ok. Maybe I just need a nap.

Also, I love this weather. I want to make some soup and start a new book.
