The news about the new ISPs in the US pissed me off. Give me the chance to pay to watch my shows online. Don't understimate how many people watch the shows online and then spread the world. Don't understimate all the money people spend on conventions, merchandising, dvds just because they see a show online.
I can see some of their reasons, what I can't tolerate is that they are leaving us without a choice. We can't choose. Screw you...anyway I am pretty sure we'll find another way...
I can't even think not to watch TVD S4 or SPN S8 live, but have to wait for thr dvds to come out...
Speaking of SPN...under the cut for spoilers.
... let's not make 7.17 Sam's version of Faith, please...Faith is one of the most amazing episodes of S1. Just don't screw with it.
smilla02 and I were talking about how many outstanding episodes SPN had though its seasons. We found many in S1, S2, S4 and S5. A couple in S3. Almost none in S6 and a couple in S7 (Slash Fiction and Time After Time).
I liked Dean's arch in S6, disliked Sam's one. I also think Castiel's arc was pretty consistent, so yeah S6, which is my least favorite, is not that bad...but it has no outstanding episodes for me.
Now we are at the end of S7 and I am dreading Castiel return. Are they going to bring him back so he can save Sam?
They got rid of him, because they didn't want a "deus ex machina", which was fair enough, considering that they wanted the boys to be alone in this season and now are they bringing him back as a "deus ex machina"?
I am not judging, I will after the episode, but there are so many things they can do wrong bringing Cas back that I am scared...because I do love Castiel, so much.
Anyway, ramble on...I am missing the angst, I am missing the empathy between the characters in SPN. I miss Sam. S7!Sam is good. He doesn't piss me off. I feel sorry for him...but still I miss Sam, the old one. S4!Sam scared the hell out of me and I was mad at him most of the time, but that Sam, his storyline was the best the writers wrote for him. Now he is basically flat.
I hated the robo!Sam storyline and since then it seems to me they haven't been able anymore to write a decent story for him. They are repeating themselves, but they left out the emotional pathos, they have failed the possibility to really investigate the consenquences of Hell on Sam. We just see the surface and now he goes crazy...it doesn't come out of the blue. It's building up since the wall (worst idea ever) fell (thanks to Castiel who almost killed him)..but it was all off screen. Sam, as the other main character of this show, deserves better than this.
So if Castiel saves him, at least he can amend since it was him to make the wall fall.
On Dean, he can never win for the fandom. If he forgives Cas, he will betray Sam. If he doesn't, he will betray Cas (some Cas girls have to learn how to behave). I stick with the fact that Dean is not mono dimensional, he is a complicated human being who doesn't see the worls in black or white. So for me Dean Winchester always wins.
Let's see how it works out.
