Alec walked Jaye back to the cabin after
their date at Caritas, which had been nice, but quiet. Sunday wasn't apparently a big night for karaoke bars.
He ducked into his alcove, grabbing a pill from his dwindling supply to swallow dry. Alec frowned at the bottle, wondering what he was going to do about that; the small amount he'd been able to track down before leaving Seattle had cost way more than he'd expected at the time. He'd really have to go looking around Fandom - there might be a way to get it here that he just hadn't found yet.
Stuffing it back into a drawer, Alec took the couple steps across the alcove to flop on his bed. Not a long or tiring day by any means - aside from
glue-related shenanigans - but talking about himself was always a bit trying.
He wasn't really sure why he'd told Jaye so much, either. He liked her, but it wasn't even that. With Dean, it just came out. With Jaye, he almost felt she should know, at least some of it. Not the whole story, but something.
He was meeting a lot of people, even now when he'd been at Fandom for a little while. And those he knew already were becoming... friends. That was almost even weirder.
Friday, over at the Flamingo cabin, he'd
dropped his bike off with Anakin, learned about Buffy's
Pike-drive fondness for such vehicles, completely bullshitted with Greg about
girls (not motorcycles as Greg had been pretending), and
promised Molly a ride once his speeder was finished. No matter he didn't know how to drive one - he could figure it out, he was pretty sure.
His
second date with Jaye had been right after that. Chai lattes and cheesecake at J,GOB's, which was the weirdest name for a shop ever, he was pretty sure. But, then again, it was Fandom.
They'd spent that night
making up for all the calories they'd gained at the bakery, Which they'd paid for today when Sammy and Dean had glued his hands to his pants. Alec had to admit it was a good prank - but only to himself. No need to let Dean in on that part.
Thinking back, he couldn't have
seen it coming from Dean - he was cagey and covered his tracks well. Though maybe he'd been distracted by
discussing future locales with Jaye. Or by
Jack's complimentary conversation tactics.
To round off the weekend, he'd gone to
cheerleader tryouts to judge possible new additions to the squad. Buffy had
finally given him his uniform, which wasn't too bad, short shorts aside.
There'd been a lot of interesting applicants, but a few in particular were interesting especially.
...But not Johnina and Greggette. No. Nuh-uh.
