Alec sighed, crumpling the bag before he straightened it out again to fetch more candy. "Yeah, me and Buffy are going together. I was going on my own, but she freaked out about not having a date, so I'm graciously giving up my chance at scoring to make sure she's not a dateless wonder." He rolled his eyes slightly.

Tyler made a sympathetic face. "It sucks you feel forced into that. At least she's cute. I'm going alone -- I think I have to be there for the Council thing. Might cut out if it's dead."

"I don't mind that much," Alec shrugged. "But she points out I might get a kiss and that is girlspeak for 'you don't get to go home with anyone else'. If it weren't Buffy I wouldn't have said yes."

He turned to face Alec. "She is quite persuasive when she wants to be."
