Alec was feeling much better and kind of looking forward to a day off-island. He lead Dean out to where he had the speeder hidden and grinned at him. "You sure you're up for this?"

"So what do you want to see?" Dean asked, looking over the listing of what was playing.

Alec hung over Dean's shoulder, skimming the list quickly. "I dunno. Something with explosions, maybe?"

"Ah, a man after my own heart," Dean said, grinning over his shoulder at Alec. "Explosions are good. And lots of fights."

"We do seem to have most of the best things in common," Alec agreed, then pointed at one movie on the list. "Operation: Implausible maybe? Looks like there's a showing soon, too."

"Yeah, that looks like enough mindless action," Dean agreed. "Let's buy our tickets and then we can see about stocking up on snacks."

Dean grinned back as he led the way up to the counter to buy their tickets. It was good to see Alec hyper like this again, especially after how lethargic and quiet he'd been the last few days.

He quickly bought their tickets then led the way to the snack bar. "Do they have movie theatres in the fu- where you're from?" he asked curiously.

"Not really," he said, shrugging as he read the menu while they approached. "No Hollywood to make movies, so nothing to show if we had them."

"Smart move," Dean agreed. "Smarter move will be not going back." He looked up at the menu then over at Alec. "Anything in particular you want to try or do you trust me to order?"

"You can do it,," Alec said, frowning slightly as he read the menu again. "They don't have milkshakes though."

"Yeah, milkshakes aren't really a movie staple." At Alec's pout, Dean rolled his eyes. "We'll stop somewhere for milkshakes on the way back to school, okay?"

He grinned again, easily appeased. "Okay. I'll get seats while you order."

Alec headed off towards the theatre, checking the number of the screen from his ticket and then going inside. He was a little bemused to find the theatre empty, lights up and commercials rolling by on the screen. He chose seats up in the back, near the middle, and put his feet up on the row in front of them as he waited.

Dean came in a few minutes later, carefully balancing a tray with two drinks, a large tub of popcorn, nachos and a couple of large packages of various chocolate stuff. "Have the theatre to ourselves huh?" he said, handing over the stuff so he could sit down. "Cool."

"Yeah, this is kind of nice," Alec said, surveying their domain after he'd taken his share of the haul. "Don't have to worry about anyone talking through the movie anyway."
