[Seahorse Cabin, alcove A4, late Monday night]
Another week, another pile of links million things to think about. Alec dropped onto his bed in Seahorse and stretched out comfortably. After a big gathering like the one over at Pangolin campfire, it was kind of nice to have a little quiet.
Last week had been the last classes of the first session. He'd kinda bombed Wilderness because Greg had been a wily distracting thing. It burned a little, but he could deal. Hell, he wasn't sure if anyone had actually even done it, which made him feel a bit better. Sex Ed, on the other hand, had been an unmitigated success - one he'd had to work for, sure, but picking up an exotic dancer with an uncanny resemblance to Max had been well worth all the tried patience. This week he'd started off with Arts & Crafts and hell if he had any experience with scrap-booking, it was still kinda fun.
There'd been a lot of parties lately, too. Last week there'd been the 4th of July party where'd he'd told Buffy about his holiday-lessness and played in the water with Jaye before heading up to her room. And on Friday he'd gone to Jarod's birthday party (and maybe he'd been wrong about the guy's occupation? He didn't think Parker'd be dating a guy who was working at the Sin, at least in that sort of career). He'd had a lot of fun though, talking to both Becky and Callisto and then dancing on stage for a free night at the Sin. He'd really have to see about getting over there sometime, especially with that kind of incentive.
And socialization was going pretty well. There'd been talking to people last Wednesday in the 3rd floor CR, there was a new girl who probably thought he was crazy, a girl named Seras he'd chatted with Saturday night, and he'd been spending a lot of time with Jaye as well, not to mention all the people he'd talked to tonight. He was looking forward to more time in Seahorse, yes.
Closing his eyes, Alec thought maybe he'd even attempt an early night. Never knew what'd come along tomorrow, and he'd been pretty busy lately. Before he'd even finished the thought, he was out like a light, sleeping deep and restful.
