[Room 311, Tuesday night]

Alec found he got tired a lot earlier, as a human. Just another thing he wasn't sure he actually liked but wasn't actively unpleasant - like the way he felt a little more relaxed, wasn't quite as tightly wound sometimes, and didn't ever have to worry about hitting something too hard.

So when he returned to his dorm after a lot of wandering, some running, and a bit of a private workout handwavily, because his mun's workday and evening were way busier than expected, he at least felt like he had more of a handle on how everything worked and what his limits might be.

Winding down, he thought about Buffy - she'd be amused to hear about the body-switch, but she was still in the clinic. Maybe he should go visit, let her know that cheerleading had gone okay, even if she wasn't awake to hear it. And the morning spent in the 4th floor cr had been informative, regarding caffeine and finding out that Willow's spell had misfired due to the inexperience of too many people. Magic was not high on his list of things to play around with after this.

As he was thinking back, he still was running up against hazy memories. Like he knew he'd gone to Jaye's room, but he couldn't remember talking much. Though he remembered waking up there as well, so maybe there hadn't bee. He'd also been to the gym, he thought, and thinking about that made him weirdly uneasy, like he'd done something embarrassing he just couldn't quite remember.

And then he'd gone up to Dean's hiding place - why had he done that? - where they'd talked about things that apparently weren't important enough to remember. The body-switch had happened there though, and that he remembered, at least.

While thinking, Alec pulled out the bottle of pills from the bottom of his bag, thinking it was well enough time for another dose. Staring at the bottle though, the sick realization hit him - that he no longer needed them, as he was. Dean's brain produced just the right amount of serotonin; there would be no seizures as long as Alec inhabited his body.

Alec tried to remember the last time he'd taken one. Saturday, maybe? Even Sunday was too long ago though. Every two days, at the maximum, to ensure the shakes would stay away. He felt his stomach drop with the sick feeling that Dean might find out what else made up the existence of an X5 and he briefly considered telling him, but... well, nothing had been wrong today, right? And Dean would've mentioned if something weird had happened, with all the fun he'd been having taking Alec's body for a test drive, right?

He opened the bottle and poured out a few of the tryptophan pills, looking at them for a long time before he shoved them in the pocket of the pants he was wearing tomorrow. He'd find Dean, see how he was doing, and if everything was going fine, then no big. His and Max's secret would be kept just that. Alec crept over and crawled into bed, feeling even more tired than before. He was asleep within moments, and dreamed distantly of monsters kept in basements and hands that stole you away in the night, never to be seen again.
