(no subject)
new computer is awesome! although webpages do look retarded on it as i expected aha (resolution is 1920x1080). i also haven't been able to get the TV working with the old antenna i had in my room but i cbfed trying it out with my working antenna which is in the kitchen. i didn't buy the pc for the tuner, it just came with it. and with a subwoofer. i don't know! i should have paid more attention to the "included in price" section, shouldn't i? i haven't tried connecting it to my tv yet but given how big this screen is, i don't think i'll care, aha. although my tv is pretty good at upscaling non-HD stuff. but yeah, the big screen is good for watching shows and also for work, i'll be amazing being able to have my excel spreadsheet and either word doco/work related input system open next to each other, heeee. i'm so using work from home as from now on. although we're getting new pcs at work as well and we'll all have two screens (trust me, we need two!).
i'm too tired to do the 25 days meme today. i'm sick thanks to this crazy melbourne weather. wasn't it like 43 last week? it's down to like 11 now, my body can't cope! i haven't transferred my files from my old pc yet, might do that this weekend. will take a while. i've downloaded most programs though. i also need a new computer desk, this one is built for a CRT monitor and it's too high i find. i don't know, maybe it's just me being short. sort of have similar issues at work, no amount of tweaking the chair's height will help. BTW, I'VE NAMED MY COMPUTER USS ENTERPRISE. :)
in other news, monash not only sent me an email reminder about the thing tomorrow night, but also sent me (and i assume everyone who signed up) a text message. jeez, they must be running low on their recruiting quota for the year ;) i do realise it's probably just an automatic thing they do but still, ahaha, both and email and a text message? overkill?!
ETA: OMG WINDOWS 7 HAS A PROGRAM CALLED 'MATH INPUT PANEL' WHERE YOU WRITE MATH WITH YOUR MOUSE AND IT CONVERTS IT INTO PRETTINESS. OMG HOW GEEKY IS THAT. HOW GEEKY AM I FOR FLAILING ABOUT IT?
