aaah i just ordered a new computer. with my credit card. i'm gonna be broke for the next three months while i pay it off. if all goes to plan, i should only pay interest on $500 or so (as i have 44 interest free days and i'll get paid twice in the next 44 days), so it's all good ( Read more... )

desktop but i'm hoping the CPU will be small and light enough to fit into my tv table. if not, i have another table i can always put it on and hook it up to my TV through HDMI :)

*geeks* I built my dream computer's list... and am now on my way to get a store to gather everything and make it for me. with an i7 processor. OMG EXCITING!!!! It costs about 1500 USD, but... my father's firm is paaaaaaaaaying. AWESOMENESS ENSUES.

core 2 Q9400. it was an upgrade from the basic one but not the best upgrade. i couldn't afford the other upgrade unfortunately.

i was gonna go down the build from scratch way but unless i wanted a really cheap one with no warranty and no insurance that everything would be compatible, i realised that it wouldn't cost much more than getting a dell, for the type of things (it's more like a home theatre pc than anything else) i wanted. if i wanted a gaming pc OTOH, then it would probably have been worth it. all those geeky stores my friends linked me to seem to specialise in gaming pcs :\
