Future...agh!

So my teachers are currently on strike. It could possibly be up to four weeks, which would mean I would come back with only a week of classes before exam time. This really dodsen't help when you have 11 classes to cram for. Some people are saying it could be up to 2 months, which would screw everything up. My RVT exam (thats my Registered Vet Tech exam, kids) would have to be changed, because it effects all vet tech programs across Ontario. If it stayed the same date, I don't think anyone would be writing the June exam. For those of us who have already payed for our testing, we better be getting our money back. Oh well, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
So should they strrike not last long, I'll be graduating in April. These past few years have felt like the longest time of my life. For me I had just graduated from highschool and moved to some remote part of Ontario, where I would spend the next two years. I think I did a lot better that I anticipated being so far from home. (Haileybury is 8 hours from London.) Even so, its been the longest 2 years of my life.
When I graduate its going to start this whole new chapter of my life. Moving out, getting a "real" job (no, sorry, McDonalds dosen't count), and paying bills...agh I think I'm gonna pass out! Oh well so I'm being a little dramatic. Its still going to be a huge year for me. I'm probably going to try to find my first job as an RVT in the London Veterinary Emergency Clinic. I've worked there before as a veterinary assistant, and I loved it. Its so fast paced and exciting. You may never get the chance to eat (or breathe for that matter...) but its the best experiance one could gain working as a vet tech. You would never see some of this stuff in a daytime practice. I actually found myself missing VEC when I drove by it the other day. So it can be sad when you lose patients, but chances are, that hit-by-car dog would have died anyways, and that cancer filled cat would have developed the tumour in another location.
