Well I did it.
Ok, a quick recap for those who didn't know (and skip this if you do know)

Clearly I am working on a ton of Vivi cosplays (Vivi from One Piece) and She has 2 hair styles; up in a ponytail or down and kinda wavy/curly. I ordered her up wig and it came and was wonderful so I decided from the same guy I'd order her down wig too.
The first wig came in about 2/3 weeks and was perfect. So I had no worries about the second. Time passed and soon it was june 25th (my b-day) and I remembered that back in May (may 27th) i had ordered the wig.
So i went to check on it and sure enough it was "shipped out" and I had a tracking number. Checked the number and got a weird error, but the same thing had happened before with the first one so i wasn't too worried. A few days went by and Im like... 'mmmmm this is odd' so i went back to write to the seller and see what was up
Seller doesn't exist.
O_O;; whhhhaaa??
Panic set in and this is where I think I posted on Facebook about it and everyone said to open a case to get my money back. So I do.
Put all the information into eBay about it and the next day i get a email from eBay that the seller sent them the packing information. also in my messages was a email from the seller asking why i opened a case seeing as the package was delivered.
Delivered??? I logged back into the USPS website and put in the information. It was delivered on June 10th at 1:10pm. I checked and I was home all day that day and got no package. I TORE my house apart thinking perhaps my mom or dad got it and put it down and didn't notice or forgot and it got covered.... nope. nothing.
so i write back the eBay guy saying i never got it and I'm sorry and lets work this out etc.

after some angry calls and going to the post office i get a phone call 2 nights ago from my postman Dave (or Doug... i cant remember) and he tells me he DOSE remember delivered a package that said 'wig' on it to my neighbors and that he is very sorry. He then asks me if i want him to go get it or will I.
Ummm DUH you sir. YOU dropped the ball so you should pick it up.
Whatever dumb-ass reasons he gave it to the wrong house he seemed genuinely sincere about feeling bad.
the next day he comes to the door and we talk for about the wig for a bit and he asks if i even want it back. I don't. Its a sanitary issue now. The have had the wig for a MONTH now and who knows what grubby little kid used it or if it was brushed etc.
Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against foster kids but these are the worst kinds. there are like 10 (the oldest probably 15, the youngest 4) of them plus there grown biological kids there too. (25+) and they aren't watched and they just have no respect for other peoples things. Another long story but its true.
So the man goes over and I'm watching from my living-room window. He talks to someone in the door for a few minutes and then leaves and drives off, makes his rounds and comes back to my door.
What the girl told him was that she didn't know but one of the other sisters might have it and if they find it they would put it in the mail.
What a bunch of BS. they've had it for a goddamn month. Oh nowww there gonna look for it.... BULL
So I was prepared to march over there and ram my foot so far up one of there asses.... but I somehow got talked outa that cause i don't need an assault charge.
I came up with the idea to call, but after 4 calls and no one answering even though i WATCHED the mother pull into the driveway and get outa her truck... I made a neutral script to call and leave a message
This is exactly what I said;
"Hi, this is kara from nextdoor
i'm calling in regards to a package that the post-office confirmed was delivered to your house on june 10th @110pm with my name and address.
The postman who delivered the package went to your house yesterday and talked to one of your girls about it. She stated that one of the other sisters might have it but none were home at the time and if they found it they would put it in the mail.
Seeing as the item was of a personal nature i feel i should be reimbursed the $50 for the cost of the wig. If you don't have the original packing slip with the price i can get you a coppy.
I can be reached at my home phone number 000-000-0000 thanks."
So as i was here typing this out, the mother drives off.
Clearly she never answers the friggen phone.
Small Claims Court here I come!
I have all the paperwork on this wig. Paypal receipts saying how much i paid and when. eBay papers saying what the wig looks like, where it was from and a breakdown on costs. the open case file i made through eBay to the seller.
Every year I have a cosplay drama and I thought for SURE this was gonna be the year I didn't. Clearly I was wrong.
But this has to be the worst. But with the new me I'm not gonna take it. I'll be civil and neutral but I want my money for it. I want a new wig.
Sorry for the epic rant but I had to vent.
