Mmm... definitely a good point about running on my toes. Even for distance I've been trying to run more mid-foot instead of heel-striking because supposedly it's better for your knees and stuff. But I'm sure I'm not running on my toes enough for sprints.

Your team sounds really great. Mine's been doing some things differently this season and I'm not sure I like it. We're meeting in our gym instead of outside, but our coach hasn't been having us warm-up or stretch, so we all feel like crap. Our team captain complained to her about it today so I hope that changes. Also, your sprinters seem to actually work whereas ours don't. Like the distance girls do so much work, and on our sprint days we do like double what the sprinters are doing. They are so slack, and it's hurting them because they not working hard enough to improve their times, you know?

I definitely should get a hill workout in on my own... we do a lot of hills during cross country but never during track. I miss them! That sounds weird, but... ;)

Thanks for the tips!

yep, def. know what you mean. our sprinters are pretty slack too. i mean, the coach gives us a workout, and most of the sprinters cut it down to what they want it to be. but there is a lot of natural talent on the team, so they're lucky with that. this is the first time our sprint coach has ever actually coached before, so he doesnt really know what he's doing, and it seems like we are conditioning for another sport. oh well tho, haha, i don't mind it as much as the others seem to.

and i actually enjoy hills too. as long as they aren't massive like the ones we have to run haha.
