Ewww finals time!
Although I have to say, after the last two weeks I've had, finals seem like a breath of fresh air. How crappy as that? But let's see...this is how my school schedule went last week:
Tuesday: Got to school at 9 AM, worked on thermo project, class from 1:30-2:15, worked on thermo project until 9:30 PM
Wednesday: Got to campus at 9 AM, had class from 9:30-1:15, worked on thermo project until 11:30 PM
Thursday: Got to campus at 9 AM, worked on thermo project, class from 1:30-3, worked on thermo project until THREE AM.
Friday: Got to campus around 9 AM, class from 9:30-11:15, presented my thermo project in class from 11:30-1:30, worked on my 523 project until 9 PM.
Oh. My. Gosh. I put about THIRTY hours into this stupid thermo project in THREE days. Thursday I was on campus for EIGHTEEN HOURSSSSS. And then I was walking to my car and saw two people having sex on one of those bench/rock slabs outside the Architecture building. Right in the middle of everything. Probably the most awkward experience of my life.
But yeah, the week before last was pretty bad two considering I had 3 tests and numerous homework assignments due. So as you can see, three days of finals is kind of the best of it all. Minus the fact that I've been doing shitty on tests this entire quarter, so I'm not looking forward to 3 more.
I feel like if I would've known the end of this year would've been so tremendously stressful, I would've either dropped one of my classes or told my mentor at Oak Ridge that I wasn't going to start a week early. I really need an effing break and I don't think a week is going to cut it. DAMN!
I'm so burnt out I'm actually starting to feel a little depressed just about everything in general. Hopefully after Wednesday a few days of extra sleep will get me over that hump. It's just that the nostalgia is setting in and I'm super sad I don't get to stay here and have a sweet summer with all my friends. It was going to be my last one--lame! I guess I get half of one next summer, but a lot of my friends don't since they'll be graduating on time and getting shoved out into the real world! Losers. :)
Sad times at the end of the year.
Hopefully next week is going to be like 80 and sunny all week long because all I'm doing is laying out all day everyday and relaxing like hell until I get to start my 9-5 job in Tennessee--which I was surprised to hear not everyone knows about by now. Sillies.
Come visit me ;) I'm leaving the 13th and won't be back until Sept 1, so I expect some weekend visitors. We can party it up in TN!
Okay, back to "studying"
Good luck on finals, everyone!
