I see Bertie is maintaining the "we gave Galway 21m for the water issue" stance, but they didn't allow them to hire people to sort this problem out. They allowed them two clerical staff when they asked for 5 staff who would be people like engineers etc. I'm sorry. This is a copletely mucked up issue, I was watching Prime Time last night and the barely controled screaming is nearly palatable.
This isn't just Galway, Galway is the first place this has exploded. I wouldn't mind spending more money on taxes if I though the Government would actually use it in a meaningful way. What do they think we should spend more money on?
