accidents that help

at some stage last summer I did something to my left shoulder. it was sore for months, I had an injection of steroids and anasthetic into it, at one stage it flared so badly I couldn't even write my own name.  I had issues knitting and stress was building

last Thursday I had an, we'll call it an incident, while going to work on the bus.  I was standing, waiting to get off, swearing mentally at mac for forgetting to pack the helmet that was swinging from my right hand while I held on, hurting, with my left. pain was building and I was looking forward to getting off the bus and getting to painkillkers.

then the bus jolted, and an eastern European woman behind me lurched into me.

I may have sworn, I did see stars!

shortly after I got off with the womans apologies ringing in my ear.

and the pain started to receed, to very tolerable stretched muscle pain, rather than crippling, eyewatering pain that I was used to.

I'm knitting again. there's still minor pain, but I'm mostly better, crossing my fingers that it stays that way!
