(no subject)
So last night I was out pretty late last night to get a snack and as I'm coming back I see this little black thing running through the road on base. It turns out to be this little black scottie that I saw a missing dog poster for earlier that day. I stop in the middle of the road because I don't want her to get run over and put her in my car. She's a very sweet dog and the poster said she was on medication so we tried to give her back last night but they didn't answer and I really didn't think they would that early in the morning.
Carey wrote a note and we left it on their door and they call this morning. Daisy (the dog) is now happily back at home and the lady gave a reward which she didn't have to and we tried to refuse. It was $25 which doesn't seem like much but I still would have returned her with or without a reward.
This is the second dog I have rescued in a month! Earlier this month I found a English Springer Spaniel mix. Carey and I have been talking about getting a dog in a few months and it's like god or the gods or whoever is out there is sending us dogs to see which we like. It's like a test run!
Carey is now also calling me his hero.
