Lisbeth Salander or Smilla Jasperson?
no, i'm not really playing that game - and, anyway, of course they should both TEAM UP!
but - having just re-read and re-watched the books and films, i am struck again by the fact that nobody compares them or cites Hoeg as an influence. Why?
i thought both
Smilla and
The Quiet Girl were great books - and the Smilla
dramatization is very underrated. (I've often joked that my ideal science-fiction novel would Smilla's Sense of Space) whilst
Borderliners is one of the best books about Time (and school) that i've come across.
but in any case i'd be curious to know if
Larsson ever expressed a view on
Hoeg's works.
anyone else familiar with both?
