Any Road Will Take You There

Funny sometimes the way associations will cluck about you like ragged hens waiting on a feed.

Re-watching Carnivale - and a friend's page here slipping down out the corner of my eye; Bob Dylan - 1976 Rolling Thunder Review.

Two countries on a threadbare map spread like an old blanket some shaman comes dancing on - a magic soft shoe shuffle.

And i'm thinking of Sam Shepard and his 'snake tide' and how Carnivale conjures that up so...

Digging out the battered copy from the book box - opening up the nicotine yellow pages with a snake skin sound, dry and flickering its tongue.

Old letter comes tumbling out - a note from someone and it turns into another Bob Dylan song - Dear Landlord - coz the letter is from a long lost house i rented.
The letter is from the owner. Throwing me out. On Xmas day.

True story.
