Had an experience today.

Was in the offy (slang for off-license, the shops that sell booze and cigs). One of the friendly chaps in there joked to the other "ooh, better ask for his ID, might be underage."
"Haha, I wish" I retorted. Just banter, but then I thought about it. Had that occured a decade ago, well, it just wouldn't, it's only now ( ... )

I think I have to change who my favourite author is. I've just read his latest in one day. I never do that ( ... )

I'm only 5 years late, but just caught the finale of the Gilmore Girls. Think it's been on that channel before, they tend to play a series then go back to episode one for another run. The rolling bodyclock has ensured I've not been around for chunks of it before, just able to catch a few weeks at a time then miss one, or something. Nice ending, ( ... )

I think the computers in my house might be haunted. Perhaps they were plugged in above an old burial ground. Or something.

Finally started the process of setting up the PC. Removing some of minor crap that a new Pc comes with. Sorting out the wireless connection. Installing SW Tor.

I'm guessing the world is supposed to end later on in the year then ( ... )

Gave mum a hug goodbye last night, with them off for the hols to Turkey and I didn't expect to be awake when they left. Turns out a long session in EQ2 kept me up long enough to give them another hug. Even John, the Welsh stepdad. Though manly embarassment prompted him to preface it with something I'm certain we picked up off a comedian. That when ( ... )

I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here finished last night. Not particular mad or weird, but one of the few reality shows worth watching. The pair of presenters, a duo called Ant' and Dec', they and I s'pose the editing team give our version a cheeky take on it I don't know if other countries enjoy. All very irreverant, sarcastic, but mostly cheeky. ( ... )

So I turned 40 the other day. Reminds me of a comedy routine I heard - how as kids we're all excited about aging to the extent of being 6 and 3/4. Then "hit" 20, "turn" 40, and later on "reach" 60. Even later returning to the childhood state of adding months to ones age ( ... )
