There's a fire drill at the school across the park from my condo building. Sound carries when you're on the 23rd floor with the windows open.
And yes my windows are open in the middle of December in Chicago. Because we have uniform heat provided by the building and unless you want to run around naked (and even then) it's constantly 75*+ in my condo and it sucks! I know I shouldn't complain considering that half of my friends in Oklahoma are without heat. Age old question, would you rather be too hot or too cold?
Still explains why I've been sleeping so badly recently, it's too hot. And I feel like a fool for opening windows or turning on the AC in winter.
