Today I downloaded the Charlemagne DLC for Crusader Kings 2. This meant that after 4 generations of occupying a hefty chunk of England my Norse "invader" could finally crown himself King of Jorvik. It also seems to have meant that my son and heir is considered demon spawn after the (natural) deaths of both his older brothers and his nanny (who herself was suspected of being a witch). He's a genius and has the Intrigue stat coming out of his ears though so I suspect that even if his vassals don't like him he's going to have a lengthy reign.
This game is sometimes very random and I think that's why I enjoy it so much. :D
