I cast magic missile!

Wheeeee! I played my first D&D 4.0 game last night. I went with a half-elf paladin and used a halberd (squee!), which worked out a lot better than you might think. I'm still getting used to the new rules. Spells and skills have been revamped, which I'm still not quite used too.

"But I just used Holy Strike!"

"It's an At Will spell. Use it as many times as you want."

*attempts to kill things*

I have another game to go to this weekend, but with more people and starting over so that everyone is on the same level. It'll be me, the usual three other guys, a friend of mine, a friend of the DM's from college and the DM's father. I really want to play a Tiefling, one of the new playable core races (along with Eladrin and Dragonborn), so I think I'm going to make a wizard or a warlock. If I don't do that, I'll probably make a human or halfling ranger, since no one in my group really plays either race. My brother made a warforged, something from the Monster Manual and I have no idea what other people are doing, but there is almost certainly going to be a rogue.

gaming, d&d
