help is hard to find

I asked my New Directions class for moving assistance and have found myself in the weirdest back and forth with this woman, L, in her 60s. I liked L in class though we sometimes clashed because of age difference and my inability to NOT be sarcastic.

She was the first person to respond and seemed gung-ho and very willing. L had questions. I answered them. She hesitated and questioned plans and asked more questions. Now, she's mad because I failed to mention that if we used a uhaul, she'd have to rent it. I did assume that we'd be using her car, not that she'd be renting the uhaul in her name with me paying (she brought up the uhaul in the first place). But wow, she went off on me a bit in her last email and now I'm worried that she'll pull out and I'll be screwed.

I apologized and said we could just move with her car. My friend J plans to help me with dad's desk on Thursday, so we can probably do a full car load with his help. If L can still help, we can probably do the rest in 2 trips.

Any suggestions for what I can do if L pulls out?

I haz a frustration. Also, a Kindle Touch on the way, something to look forward. And, um, I may or may not be planning to purchase a Kindle Fire to have waiting for me when I arrive in Madison.
