I bought an iPhone last night! YAY!
I discovered that one of our Verizon cell phone contracts was "over" and so we moved that one to AT&T and I'm so in love. I've sucked in all my contacts, created pictures and special ringtones for my frequent callers, pulled in my favorite playlist - over 700 songs and only filled up 1/2 the memory! I've connected to hotspots everywhere, it's awesome. The iPhone map program is pretty good, the AT&T area coverage is fine in my general area, which is tricky as I'm in the mountains and coverage can drop out easily. But here at my house, it's 4-5 bars, which is phenomenal. My only glitch thus far is getting my calendar onto it - I have my work calendar shared on MSN's site and access it via Outlook on my home computer, but it's just not pulling it in. That'll be my task for tomorrow. I also figured out how to get iTunes to let me take a song I like and export it to WAV so I can then use Audacity to cut a small portion of it to a new file and create a ringtone. Excellent! Free ringtones! Woohoo!
Going from a # keypad phone to a touch screen is amazing. And now I can check my stocks at work without using any of my company resources, which I didn't want to do. (Our building has a free hotspot :)
