Bored out of my mind

Well, since I have no customers in the lobby at work on this pretty fall Saturday afternoon, I figure I may as well use the time to update a little.

Things are going pretty well. Not in love with the job I'm in, but it's still money, and I can't complain about that. Saw my sisters Lynn and Dawn, and Dawn's girls recently.... CC was so cute on Thursday when I saw them.... I spent a lot of time with her which I think she really needed since she is going thru middle child syndrome with the newborn. She helped me with the laundry and dishes, and really didn't give me a hard time at all until it was bedtime (she was tired and didn't want to shower)

Missing friends and family in NJ like mad, but I'll be able to see my niece and nephew for Thanksgiving. Our plan is to leave after I'm out of work (I'm done at 5:45.... wanted to be out earlier, but no such luck.... my hope is maybe we'll hit less traffic leaving later on the busiest travel day..... hahaha) and shoot down to my parents' house.

Thursday is Thanksgiving, so turkey-induced comas will be abound
Friday we head into NY to see the Christmas Spectacular and then Mike and I will do a little sightseeing, since I haven't been to NY to meander in forever. No real agenda, we'll see what happens.... maybe do the Empire State Building like a real tourist, since I've never done that.
Saturday we'll head to Princeton to see Mike's parents and brothers. Yay for that.... maybe I can convice Mike to go to the RU/Cuse game, but probably not.
Sunday we head back toward MA, making a pit stop in CT to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa.... cause otherwise we get in trouble for not seeing them.

Wedding plans are going okay.... still trying to find a photographer and DJ.... but we're making our way down to NJ in December to work on that. We're taking a ballroom dancing class to try and get Mike in dancing form for the big day (Mike doesn't know how to dance.... this may or may not work).

Rutgers is doing awesomely at 9-0.... and well on their way to finishing the season at worst 11-1 unless there's a huge upset this week in Cincy or next week against Cuse. West Virginia will be tough, but I think we have a decent shot of taking care of them and going undefeated.... but I'm def. not counting my chickens before they hatch. Who would have thought that RU would be ranked #7 in the coaches poll?? Not me, ever. We've been getting better over the years, but to see the program do a 180 in just 6 years is phenomenal. Looking forward to watching the Knights kill the Bearcats tonight at 7:45 on ESPN (WATCH IT)! This is R time ;)

Okay okay, I'm a nerd, but at least it's good to have a passion since baseball is dead right now, and I can't watch hockey anywhere on TV unless it's the Bruins, and they suck.

Speaking of Bruins, I'm going to a Providence Bruins game tomorrow with my best friend on Cape Cod wends and her new beau AAA guy (AKA Josh). Yay for live hockey (even if it is minor league, it's probably more fun and def. cheaper than a NHL game)! :D
