I'm thinking of doing something crazy...
I'm sure we've all heard by now about David Tennant being in the remake of Fright Night (which the world really needs... does anyone even make original movies any more?) I've heard (rumors) that they're doing some filming in Las Vegas and Albuquerque. Now, there's no way I could get to Vegas any time soon... but I'm seriously considering trying to go to New Mexico and see if I can see some of the filming.
Now, before anyone calls me a crazy stalker (I'm only mildy nuts, dammit) I have a friend who lives in the area who's invited me to visit. She knows a lot of great places to visit, so it would be more than just a stalker vacation. Plus, the southwest part of the country is one of the areas I'm considering moving to, and this would give me the chance to check out the area.
As an added bonus, it would let me indulge in some fangirliness for another fandom of mine: Quantum Leap. One of the stars, Dean Stockwell, lives in the area and his art is on display. Plus, part of the show was set in this area, so I could have the opportunity to geek out over that as well.
I have five days of paid vacation saved up. My friend could help me keep costs down to a minimum. I'm so freaking tempted right now...
