Doctor Who has really messed up my holidays this year... I kept forgetting Christmas, and now, whenever the news mentions that it's almost time for 'the big day', I automatically think of The End of Time Part Two, rather than New Years Day. I'm so torn about it... I want to see it, but, I don't. The photos and clips I've seen aren't helping any. Though I am now convinced that at some point, RTD was secretly replaced by a kinky slash fangirl. Or that he actually is a kinky slash fangirl. Either one is acceptable.
Still, I think I'm going to have to watch Journey's End afterward, just to remind myself that Ten does live on in some form. I live in hope that one day, they'll make a mini-series about Ten-II and Rose.
I finally had my Christmas. I didn't get any presents; my Dad gives us money. I know some people go on about how money isn't a meaningful gift, but I come from a family that isn't exactly rolling in dough; a gift of money could buy food and gas, which is more important than some trinket. Fortunately, I'm not that desperate this year. I put aside some money for the trip to the UK that I hope to take next year (I'm thinking of trying for September, when John Simm is doing Hamlet) and ordered a few Doctor Who audios: The Rising Night, (because it'll be nice to experience a new Tenth Doctor adventure), The Sword of Orion, the second of the Eighth Doctor Big Finish audios (those are addictive, and Paul McGann really is a great Doctor when in the right hands), and Medicinal Purposes, because a) David Tennant does a voice, b) it's about Burke and Hare, and c) I hear Colin Baker's Doctor is better in the audios, when he's not being screwed over.
