Why is this my life?!
Continuing in the 'are you fucking kidding me?!' vein that is my life...
We have power now, so I'll be able to watch the DW anniversary special, but the storm that took out our power also messed up our phone lines, and the phone company said they'd send someone around December 2nd. WTF?! After the fiasco of having a possible employer call the wrong number, I made sure not to add my cell number to the round of applications I filled out this week (in the hopes that with the holidays coming I might at least get something temporary.) Now if anyone tries to call, they won't be able to get ahold of me.
It's like Real Life is conspiring to not give me a chance...
And to further add to my temper, I have a couple of things I need to mail out today. Well, the town's post office's computers are down, so they're not doing any sales. Which means I have to drive to the next town over (which is not close by; farming communities are spread out) to ship things, and when I'm counting pennies and being stingy on how much gas I use, this is NOT GOOD. And I can't wait until tomorrow; some things need to go out today, and besides, we're going to be getting a snowstorm which will likely mess up the roads for the entire weekend. And, with my like, it'll take out the power, too.
