People are going to give me an identity crisis...
I just have one question: am I that easily confused with other people? -_- I mean, for goodness' sake, this is going to give me a complex! For example, the Beta Club trip a year ago. I work my butt off in the writing competition, and then comes my moment of triumph: third place in state. I feel so big and proud as I walk up in front of that immense crowd and claim my trophy, and then after the awards ceremony, I return to my peers, expecting some kind of praise...I got it, all right. "Way to go, Randall!" -_- 7 people said this at once. No planning, no joke, they forgot who I was. OUT OF 3 GUYS ON THAT TRIP!
Just as bad is the number of people that regularly call me by the name 'Eric'. O.K., I get the point, we look alike. Maybe even as close as brothers. But for God's sake!!!! And today was the worst. Liana is talking to a teacher of hers, and I run into them. I've met the teacher once before, and he recognized me, and greeted me: "Hello, Eric." He's never met Eric. He just said that that was the name that came to mind when he looked at me. The irony! Sob!!!
If this keeps up, I'm tattooing my name on my forehead, or my name isn't Er...I mean Ran...I mean Curtis.
In other news...Lessee...Ah. I proved this morning that my roommates are rubbing off on me. Putting on cologne, I failed to notice I was standing in front of a fan. Didn't take me too long to figure it out, though. At least my left elbow smells really nice. ^_^;;
As far as classes go...meh. Got another C+ on an English paper. -_- Bah. Also, my Web Design class is becoming...interesting. We have had to group up to do a project, and even with my grade in there (F), guess who ends up taking charge and becoming team leader? -_- I suppose what they say about leaders who don't want to lead may be true, or at least that's what my group thinks.
Had a few pleasant conversations last night. ^_^ Of course, I feel rather sheepish about one of those... After a certain...shall we say 'silence-inducing'?.. question, I forgot to ask another very important question: 'when?' ^_^;;; Mea culpa. I hope the person with whom I had the conversation knows what I'm talking about...I'm just verbally clumsy like that sometimes.
Well, I guess I need to write up the minutes for today's VB class...I had better go see to that. ^_^;; I've procrastinated too long again...
