“Just a moment sir.” Ianto covered the speaker on the cell phone and looked down at Jack. “Its General Lyesmith, UNIT base Norway, for you sir.”
Jack nodded and took the phone from Ianto, but stopped the younger man with a gentle touch when he would have left the office. With his eyes, the Captain begged.
Ianto smiled, picked up the half empty cup of coffee from the desk and mouthed the words: be right back
“Captain Jack Harkness, what can I do for you General?”
Jack shook a fist at Ianto as the other man danced out of range.
On the other end of the cell, the General was speaking in quick bursts of sound. Jack sighed and tried to listen attentively.
“… received word that Loki and a tribe of Mountain Trolls have threatened to initiate Operation Ragnorak.”
Jack bolted upright in his chair, all thoughts of Ianto gone from his mind.
“Obviously we cannot allow them to get their hands on the key to the vault housing Heimdal’s horn.”
“No of course not General. What do you need from us?”
“We have a team in place to deal with the main assault force. I need you to get in and keep Loki distracted while we take out the take out the Troll Queen and her army. “
“Distract Loki, really?” A smile played across Jack’s lips. “How long?”
“Three days at least, four would be better. Give our team more time to complete the clean up.” The General said.
Jack’s smile turned blazingly bright as Ianto entered with his tray and two cups of steaming coffee. The Welshman paused on the threshold and looked at his boss.
“Three days?” Jack said to the General, waving Ianto into the office. “Oh I think I can manage that sir. Consider it done.”
“Excellent, Captain. I knew I could count on you.”
“Any time General. Any time.” Jack said, closing the phone and standing up in one fluid motion.
“How do you feel about a little vacation Ianto?” Jack asked coming around his desk towards the younger man. He let his eyes linger over the perfect fit of Ianto’s suit and the gentle bulge at his crotch.
“A vacation sir? I didn’t think we did that sort of thing in Torchwood.”
“Strictly speaking this would be a working vacation. You, me, a Norse god, a bottle or two of lube.”
Jack encircled Ianto’s waist with both hands and closed the space between them. Giving himself over to the moment, Jack ran his hands across Ianto’s firm buttocks. He loved feel the of Ianto’s quivering muscles beneath the immaculately pressed suit and the throbbing in Ianto’s groin that matched Jack’s own sweetly growing ache.
“A Norse god?”
Jack leaned in to nibble on the spot just below Ianto’s right ear. He chuckled in delight as Ianto’s words were followed by a guttural moan of pleasure.
“Quick aren’t you?”
Jack licked his way around Ianto’s chin to taste the edges of his lover’s lips.
“Two bottles of lube, sir?” Ianto said, his voice heavy with desire.
“Mmmm. At least.” Jack said between kisses.
“When do we leave?” Ianto sighed.

Loki Lie Smith stretched out a hand to turn off the CCTV feed from Cardiff. Sitting back in his chair, he allowed himself a slow smile.
“Two bottles of lube, Jack?” Loki chuckled. “You’re slowing down in your old age. With that pretty one by your side, I’d say we’re going to need at least three.”
Sighing dreamily, he ran one hand through his hair; with the other he spun his now silent cell phone around on the desk in lazy circles.
“And a whole lot more mead.”
