Heaven
Many moons ago, like the first year we were together, Rimble introduced me to an accapella group called Longhouse who produced a total of one album back in 1988/89. On this album was an amazing song called "Heaven" which just rocks my socks and his. So we choose it for the exit music for our wedding. Sadly the song was kind of drowned out by the cheering... but was there none the less.
Cut to a few years ago. Rimble and I realize that the CD is missing. He loaned it to someone and it never came home. *pout*.
Cut to a few months ago... I get a wild hair and go hunting on line for the album and lo! I find it via Amazon's used dealer links. Coolness! So I order the thing... but with no picture I am not sure its the right one. but it is and all is well.
why am I bringing all this up now?
Last night I was talking with my therapist and he was telling me that someone is doing a research thingiee to get some more scientific data for doing couples therapy. In the process one thing they have discovered is that a common factor in successful relationship turns out to be "saying nice things to each other" - like please and thank you and I love you.
This reminded me of the song.
I was hoping to find a link to the song itself so folks could here it, but no such luck - so you will just have to trust me that it is really awesome. It is acappella and weaves all over itself and back again. the words are "simple" but wow it just works. So I typed up the lyrics to remember them and of course the song in now stuck in my head :)
