Philly and Slurpees both rock
Spent yesterday with Susan, being shown the joys of Philadelphia. Poor silly NJ girl that I am I don't know their public transport very well, but fortunately I was with a highly knowledgeable guide :) Got to ride the bus and the el, and a train too. Reading Terminal Market, I only wish I'd had more time and money to spend with you. Then a train ride to the fiber store, and all of this accompanied by the realization that checking weather forecasts = good idea.
Back to South Street (I think) and lots of nifty stores. Books! Booksbooksbooksbooksbooks. And thrift stores. With more books. And then tasty tasty food in the vicinity of South and 4th. Although baklava tastes a little like potpourri for some reason. In a good way, I think.
I know there was more involved. There is no way that was all we did. Anyway, it was a blast and I only wish I'd done this sooner. There needs to be further expeditions to Philly in the near future.
