After I left Make-A-Wish my mister and I met for lunch. We were making plans to enjoy a committment-free weekend, yay :) About 20 minutes after I left him I get the call from UC and it's a go. Not only is it a go but we start Monday. So much for an uneventful weekend!
We leave Sunday and return Weds - this first trip is longer, usually it will be an over-nighter at best. But I take the cocktail Monday morning and return in 3 hour increments for labs and an EKG. Then Weds am I will have a final blood draw and we can come home. For about 6-8 weeks, we have to return each Monday. So we will cruise down on Sunday, spend the night, go to UC first thing and thing head for home. Tom will only miss one day per week.
Bless his heart - he will be doing ALL of the driving as well as carrying alot of stress, i hate that part. But initially I'll be too sick to do anything about it.
BUT, bring it. I've got my A-game in my pocket and I'm ready. Let's go.
