i just realized that i don't have an Eastertide kind of icon. (note to self)
WOW, what a couple of weeks it's been! Lots to write about, but not all now, too noodly from a hot, relaxing bath.
One thing to post is about my poor Tugster. He had surgery alright, but not on his leg. He developed a prolapsed urethra - and yes, it was as awful as it sounds and probably more painful than I can imagine. So they put his little willy right again and then did a purse-string type stitch to hold everything in place for 5 day.s The day they remove the sutures, we had only been home about an hour, he threw up. Then I was watching him trying to pee, he'd get in the postion and then pull his leg in tight and nothing would happen. I could tell he was a hurting unit. So, BACK to the vet we go where he gets a big ol shot of cortisone and some mighty pain pills. He has been on prednisone for the last 2 days as well with two more to go. Prednisone makes you drink, therefore pee A LOT. So I've had to keep a pretty constant eye on him and even so, he's had several accidents in the house.
GAH.
So, I tihnk we're on the healing end of this adventure but still have the knee issue to deal with. Oh, and since he was having so many problems, we went ahead and had him neutered while he was having surgery in the mister area anyway.
Poor Tug Boat, he's had a rough time.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, the day the prolapse thing happened where I came home after a couple of hours in town and found a softball sized area of bright red blood..yeah, THAT day. THAT day was also the day we were just starting a change over to some new food. Then he goes to the vet where he gets their own food, and, and.... good grief! Plus, he had to stay at the vet all weekend.
