Bow before Spode!
Made it to the Center of the Universe in Spore. I'm very tempted to go searching for the Sol system, but given that there are seemingly millions of stars to go searching through, I'm not holding my breath. So for the "green1" species (yeah, what was I thinking when I named that species?) I've effectively reached the end of the game.
The biggest plus for me was that I was able to do it with a straight up herbivore hippie shaman cultist peacenik race. I've been told that's the hardest race to "beat" the game with, but frankly, all you need are the right connections and the right resources and you're just as good as the guys with lasers.
The biggest downer for me was realizing after the fact that stealing an artifact from a Grox planet is a *bad* idea. They instantly declare war on you for it, and there's no brokering peace with them after that. It would've gotten me to the center of the universe sooner had I not gotten all sticky fingered. Oh well, lesson learned.
Next up - CARNIVORE!!!
