Just a bit of Kyeli gushing. :)

Kyeli, Dru, and I were at Ross today, engaged in some recreational shopping. We went to the changing room to try on some things.

As usual, the changing room had a sentry on duty. Today's sentry was a very old woman who spoke in mumbles and with a heavy accent. Kyeli told her that she had two items as we walked up, and the woman gave her a little card with a big '2' on it.

Then the woman glanced up at me, and looked a little confused. She turned to Kyeli, and mumbled something to her about, '(mumble mumble) a man or a woman?'

Kyeli's response was immediate. 'She's a woman. She's also a person. You can talk to her.'

The sentry mumbled her apologies, and I smiled at her, showed her my two items, and accepted another '2' card. We then went and tried on the clothes. I got a really nice new housedress to replace my old flowery one. All in all, a good experience. And I felt really very loved and looked after.

I can stick up for myself, of course. But it's really nice to know that she's always, always got my back.

I love you.
