Because: 

• she never cares what anyone else thinks of her choices. 
• she has awesometastic glitter style. 
• she always cares about the people close to her. 

And, I mean, not that I'm going to have grandkids - I'm kind of skipping an important middle step there - but I'm hoping some of my friends might reproduce and I could be a lulzy honorary grandma.  For which Lwaxana Troi would be a fantastic role model.

Actually, she kind of reminds me of my actual grandma.
