Yeah. That's how I feel about this paper. What the hell?
But on the up-side, I have almost six pages of a 8-10 page paper done, so, one way or another the end is in sight. I still have to find a way to talk about at least two more books (seriously? who gives a number-of-books assignment in grad school?) and then conclude with something appropriately ridiculous and bombastic. (No idea yet what that might be.)
At least I like Radway a little better on second reading. Reading her alongside other texts makes me appreciate her efforts a bit more. She really did try.
I'm being seriously distracted by the urge to write a "Five Times Ryn and Anakin Got It On, And One Time They Didn't," fic. Also, I want to know why nobody has pegged that as a new tale type. Because, really, the age of fan fiction calls for new classifications.
Any folklorists on board with this? C'mon, guys.
