Disclaimer:  George Lucas own Star Wars.  This story is purely a work of fan fiction, and I am not making any profit from it.

Author's notes:  Some time ago, I promised shorter chapters … but then that didn't happen.  This one is shorter, so I am fulfilling a promise here.  The hope is that this will allow for more frequent updates, and also for ( Read more... )

Hehehehehehe.

I have to ask, is that the explanation Padmé and Anakin trained their nieces to give, or is Ryn covering for them?

Hm. Both and neither? It's sort of head!canon for me that Anakin does visit the Naberries on some of his trips to Naboo … he just makes time to snuggle with Padmé on the sly. (Her parents emphatically do NOT know about this; Sola definitely suspects something.) So he has been building treehouses, and Ryoo and Pooja say so because they can't see anything wrong with that. The treehouse itself is legit, and both the girls are CRAZY about their Uncle Anakin. Ryn knows, of course, that in addition to building treehouses he's been doing other things on Naboo, but she recognizes here that the treehouse story is a) a good red herring; and b) pretty damn funny, so she takes advantage of the moment, as it were. She's had some experience with Uncle Anakin already - remember one of the very early chapters, when she has to go looking for him and he's busy helping Padmé teach the girls to swim?

Long answer to a short question, sorry. :)
