Frank just ate mine, too. He's really egalitarian that way ...wyncatastropheOctober 7 2011, 03:52:08 UTC
Anyhoo.
Calligraphic powers? But … wait, I seem to remember that I did well on the Miller Analogies Test, and yet "calligraphic powers are to Squiggly Squigglies as vaccines are to viruses" is not really coming together for me … 'splainy?
You know, I like Star Wars, but I don't think I would have described it as funny. I mean, it has its funny moments ("no loose wire jokes!"), but the PT in particular tends to make me cry …

You posted fic and thesis? As in, together? What's that all about?
We don't grow lemon trees up in this part of the world, but even if we did, I am staunchly determined not to involve myself in any sort of horticulture. Yeah, I'm reacting against my childhood. Everyone needs a hobby.
Well, I have to write an 8-page paper discussing Weber and Durkheim tomorrow (blergh), but mostly I'm dealing with homesickness. I've moved around some before, but I've never felt quite this out of place or isolated - and the weird thing is, it's not like I can try harder and find my level, because I'm pretty sure I don't even want to belong here. So far I don't like Northern Virginia much. Hubby says I've moved to Coruscant, ha.
I'm doing ctrl-c on mine so it doesn't become goat bait.ansketil_roseOctober 7 2011, 04:32:17 UTC
I do calligraphy as a hobby, so an Awesome Squiggly Font has to be very awesome before I become hypnotised. :)
It's something to do with being a Palpatine fan. Revenge of the Sith is the one with the happy ending. Of course, I like to deal with the tragedy seriously in fanfiction, but somehow while I'm watching it's just too funny. One gets stuck in Palpatine's head and can't get out.
No! Not together! *wipes forehead* One is online, the other is with my supervisor.
I was violently opposed to gardening as a child, but my mother loves it and because she has arthritis I do a lot of the heavier work. I'm willing to garden for fruit and vegetables. Home-grown fruit and veggies are tasty.
*hugs* It's funny how places have such distinct personalities, isn't it? I feel your isolation - I haven't got classes and I'm the only MA student doing Roman History this year so it's very lonely without any friends at university. Coruscant strikes me as a wonderful place to live, provided you have the money. I think I'd prefer to study in Theed. But I'm not 12, so that probably doesn't work.
