Good moment; she really doesn't want to waste any time at all sleeping. I always like these 'watching others sleep' stories, because the protagonist is alone, and yet not.

It's a classic fanfic genre, isn't it? I think it's done less in profic. But I've never done an Ani/Padmé one before. Felt proud of myself for managing an actual 'ship fic.

Yeah, it's a classic for a reason; I also enjoyed the sense of Padme's protection, a nod to just how strongly married people feel about the protective angle.
