I don't know if I would go so far as to be able to believe that our government could, or would, do such a thing. I mean, we're talking about a level of complicity (and competence for that matter) that normally would seem inconceivable. On th other hand, if a major explosion does occur in the ship channel this summer, imagine the effect that will have on fuel prices.
There are plenty of people with immeasurable power who would just love to see the Bush empire never come to an end, and those people are, without a doubt, scared to death of an Obama presidency. Anything they could do to prevent that would seem a small price for them to pay.
I've said it before. I am convinced that the plutocrats have no intention of letting a Democrat become President on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
